A. Banking Overtime
1. Bank Statutory holidays as per the current practice; you may either take the triple time in
pay or take double time in pay and bank a day in lieu.
2. If your regularly scheduled day off is displaced by a holiday you may either, as per the
current practice, take the next day back to work as a paid Worked on Day Off (WODO) or:
i) Bank a day and a half in lieu; or
ii) Bank one day of lieu time and take the remaining time in pay.
iii) Bank a half day in lieu and take the remaining time in pay.
3. If you work overtime at the end of your shift you may bank all of that overtime at the
overtime rate. If you work a four hour call you may bank all of that overtime at the
overtime rate.
4. If you work on a day off (WODO) you may either:
i) Bank the whole day at the overtime rate; or
ii) Bank one day in lieu and take the remaining time in pay.
iii) Bank a half day in lieu and take the remaining time in pay.
iv) If the WODO is a second day off at double time you can either take two full days in
lieu or one day in lieu and the remaining time in pay.
5. You cannot bank missed meals, meal differential, night differential or turnaround. All
penalties of this nature that are accumulated in conjunction with overtime will be
calculated and paid out accordingly.
6. The maximum banked time allowed is 160 hours. Requested banked time will be banked
up to 160 hours and all time over 160 hours will be paid out.
The term “day” in this letter may mean 8 hours, 10 hours or 11.25 hours. All banked “days” and
banked time are converted to hours.
